Texas Longhorn Breeders of New Mexico

Our club is planning a very ambitious schedule for the upcoming twelve months.  We hope that we will see many of our longhorn friends participating in our plans.  Our next World Qualifying show will be the New Mexico State Fair; this will be a two day show, with arrival on Tuesday, September 19th; showing on September 20th and September 21st. 

 

The New Mexico State Fair entries are on line again this year.  Please go to www.exponm.com; then to State Fair at the top of the page, next to Premium book and finally to Texas Longhorns.  An easier way to find the entry form is; www.tlbnm.com.  Our web master, Monte Edwards has done a great job in keeping our calendar up to date.  You can also give Kristi Wilson, our secretary, a call as she is on top of all that we have planned.  Her number is:  505 336 9940

 

Our youth director, Jan Gentry, is planning a World Qualifying Youth (only) Show and TLBNM Club Field Day for August 19th.  Please give her a call at 505 864 1220 for information and entry forms. 

 

We will continue to promote longhorns to commercial cattle producers as our Board of Directors approved the New Mexico Club’s participation in the New Mexico Stockman’s Convention to be held in Albuquerque to be held in December.  Plans are underway for the Truth or Consequences two day show over Presidents Day weekend in February 2007 and the Route 66 two day show set for May 19th and 20th, 2007.
