It was a great show, well supported by the area. The following weekend found club members with riding steers on the campus of Sul Ross State University for the Alpine Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Alpine, Texas. This was a great venue to promote the Texas Longhorn with many participants and visitors stopping past to ask numerous questions about the longhorns. The 27th and 28th of February found four riding steers attending the Portales Ag Expo, drawing a large crowd both days.
